Nussbaum Associate of the Year- Waste Disposal Solutions
The Nussbaum Center for Entrepreneurship announced Waste Disposal Solutions as the winner of its “Associate of the Year” award at the Greensboro Chamber of Commerce’ Annual Business Awards Luncheon. The event was held on Wednesday May 15 at the Greensboro Coliseum Special Events Center.
Started in 1996 by Anne and Thurman Givan, Waste Disposal Solutions (WDS) has grown from a company with a focus on auditing waste programs to offering a national account program that consolidates and reduces solid waste and recycling expenses for its clients. In addition, WDS also offers a National compactor and bailer leasing program.
“We chose Waste Disposal Solutions as our Associate of the Year for numerous reasons, most notably their full engagement and utilization of the services offered by the Nussbaum Center,” said Sam Funchess, President/CEO of the business incubator. “In addition to this, Anne and Thurman have a strong vision for their company which has resulted in a measurable growth in number of revenue, profit and payroll.”
